ACID before shipping
Every sea shipment needs an ACID number (Advance Cargo Information) registered by the Egyptian importer on the Nafeza platform before the goods are shipped.
Customs
Clearance is through the Egyptian Customs Authority. Most importers use a licensed clearing agent.
Registering for road use
Machines used on public roads are registered with the traffic department of the governorate where the owner is based.
