Terms of use

The service

Heavy Equipment Africa is a free directory of construction, mining and agricultural equipment dealers, distributors and service centres in Africa. By using this site you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

Accuracy of listings

Listings come from public sources and from dealers themselves. We work to keep them up to date but do not guarantee that they are complete, accurate or current. Check anything important directly with the dealer.

Dealing with dealers

We do not sell equipment and are not a party to any enquiry, quote or contract between you and a dealer. Any transaction is directly between you and the dealer.

Trademarks

Brand and manufacturer names belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products dealers offer; their use does not mean any partnership with, or endorsement of this site by, those manufacturers. Dealer logos are shown only to identify the dealer; a dealer can ask us to change or remove its logo at any time.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the contact form to send unsolicited advertising or abusive messages.
• Do not copy the directory’s content in bulk, by automated means or otherwise, to republish or resell it.
• Do not try to get around the site’s security or access other people’s accounts.
• Do not claim to represent a business you do not represent.

Dealer accounts

If you create or manage a listing, you confirm that you are authorised to represent the business and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for the content you publish. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site. We may check, edit, suspend or remove a listing, in particular if it is inaccurate or misused.

Liability

The site is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of directory information, from anything a dealer does or fails to do, or from the site being temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Links to other sites

The site links to third-party sites, including dealers’ own websites, Google Maps and our social media pages. These links are marked with an arrow (↗) and open in a new tab. Third-party sites are run by other organisations: we do not control their content, offers, prices or how they handle personal data, and we are not responsible for them. A link does not mean we endorse that site or have verified the dealer. Read each site’s own terms and privacy policy before entering information or making a payment there.

We check links to dealer websites regularly. If a link is broken or leads somewhere that looks wrong, email info@heavyequipmentafrica.com.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms or the service at any time. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
